As Orbiba Robotics, we have successfully completed the testing of our beta-stage robot in the corn field with Levent Korukoğlu. 🤖 We experienced the performance of our agricultural robot under real field conditions, and with the valuable feedback from Mr. Levent, we took significant steps to advance our technology further. This process not only brings us one step closer to our goal of increasing agricultural productivity but also improves our robot every day. Today, as part of Organic Farming Day, our Chief Agriculture Officer at Orbiba Robotics, Büşra Özer, visited the Ecological Market in İzmir and met with Zafer Uydurgan and ÖZGE ÇİÇEKLİ . As part of our Beta robot program, Aysun Hanım and Süleyman Bey, the owners of Düzyol Organik, grow more than 200 organic products on over 50 acres of land. At Orbiba Robotics, we successfully introduced our agricultural robot on this special farm. After just a short 5-minute training, Aysun Hanım was able to operate our robot with ease, without the need for operator support! Our robot is designed to be easily used by farmers of all ages and experience levels. The future of farming is achieving a perfect harmony between technology and nature.
In our effort to advance our autonomous agricultural robots and push their performance to the highest level, we conducted a comprehensive testing process on Egedeniz Textile ’s regenerative cotton production fields. We closely observed the durability and efficiency of our robots in real field conditions through a demo on Halil Bey’s cotton field. This testing process was extremely valuable for seeing how our robots perform under challenging field conditions, identifying areas for improvement, and spotting any deficiencies. With the feedback and experiences we gathered throughout the day, we made significant strides in advancing technology use in agriculture and promoting sustainability. During this testing phase with theEegedeniz Textile team and Ms. Melody Malek we continue to work with determination to develop solutions compatible with regenerative cotton production, enhance agricultural productivity, and provide sustainable technologies.
We're continuing our work at this special farm to develop our autonomous agricultural robot and test our demos. This process, carried out in the heart of sustainable farming and surrounded by nature, allows us to continuously improve our robotic technologies under real agricultural conditions. During this period, TÜBİTAK evaluator Bülent İrfanoğlu visited us for the second round of evaluations, closely examining the progress and tests of our robot. This visit not only marked an important step in advancing our technology but also provided valuable contributions to our work. We are proud of our 10 pioneering farmers across Türkiye🇹🇷 who will be testing our beta robot on various crops. Five of them are small-scale farmers , and the other five are large-scale farmers. During this meeting, we learned about WeFarm's agricultural technologies and sustainable production solutions, and we shared our work at Orbiba Robotics. We also discussed the details of the upcoming demo and test robot. As the Orbiba Robotics team, we conducted a productive field visit with the producers at the İzmir ETO Organic Market and Mr. Halil! During this field visit: Weed Problems: We learned about the weed problems Mr. Halil encounters in his fields. Plant Diseases and Organic Farming: We had detailed conversations about plant diseases and the importance of organic farming. Test Robot: We provided the opportunity to use our test robot in their fields and gave information about it. Additionally, we had an extensive discussion with Mr. Halil about the future of organic farming and what we can achieve together. Recently, the Orbiba Robotics team had an amazing day in Izmir! We had the opportunity to meet with Ms. Melody Malek from Egedeniz textile and explore collaboration opportunities. We shared details about ourselves and our projects and took an exciting first step towards testing our robots. As the Orbiba Robotics Agriculture team, we were at the organic market visit organized by the ETO Association in Balçova, Izmir. Alongside our producers Halil Alaç, Hatice Alaç, and Necla Andaç, we had pleasant conversations and gained valuable insights into their challenges. Taking an important step towards the future of agriculture by being with producers was highly valuable and significant for us.
We attended Başarsoft Technology Days 2023 and had the opportunity to listen to the latest developments in the field of geographic information systems from Turkey's leading companies. The Başarsoft journey summarized by Alim Küçükpehlivan also excited us as an early-stage venture.
Between October 19th and 22nd, we participated in the Antalya 2nd Science Festival organized by Kepez Municipality. At #BİLİMFEST, which took place with the participation of leading companies in Turkey, we also meet with technology and science enthusiasts.
On September 23, Organic Day was celebrated in collaboration with the Ecological Farming Organization Association and the Aegean Exporters' Associations. The celebration saw the participation of officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, as well as representatives from control and certification organizations, organic product producers and operators, and NGOs. During the event, Prof. Dr. Uygun Aksoy, the Chairman of the ETO Association, and ÖZGE ÇİÇEKLİ, the General Secretary, provided updates on the latest developments in the organic sector worldwide and in Turkey. Following this, interactive discussions were held with participants aimed at advancing the organic sector, and suggestions were made for a concluding statement.

Our student, Arda, has completed the agricultural technology training and successfully delivered his presentation! Arda, a 13-year-old, has successfully completed the 3-week training period spent with the Orbiba Robotics team and delivered an impressive presentation. At Orbiba Robotics, supporting and inspiring young minds and future leaders is our priority. It has been a source of happiness and pride for us. Arda's interest in future technologies as a visionary and talented young individual is a promising sign for us. We thank Arda for his success during the 3-week training process and for his presentation. We hope that this training will assist in defining ultimate goals and making a mark in the scientific world.
As a team, we attended the 'You Are Valuable' event at BTM (Information Commercialization Center) hosted by Sahne XL. We watched pitch deck presentations from various startups and had the opportunity to learn more about their ventures. In October, it will be our turn! At Orbiba Robotics, we are excited to be on stage. We look forward to it.
We participated in the workshop conducted within the framework of the Agriculture 4.0 Policy Implementation and Research Center, a collaboration between Eyüp Sultan Municipality and Kadir Has University. Together with industry representatives, we focused on sustainable and technology-driven transformations.
(As the Orbiba Robotics team, we attended the event organized by the Wheat Association regarding the harms of pesticide usage on the environment. During this event, we had the opportunity to listen to the presentation by Food Engineer Merve Atınç Saral about organic farming methods and the adverse effects of pesticides, as well as the latest developments in our country and worldwide. This experience further strengthened our belief that the solutions we will provide with small robots at Orbiba Robotics will significantly contribute to protecting our agricultural fields from pesticides.
We are thrilled to announce that we have been selected to participate in the Global AgriFood TechPreneur Program among 549 applicants. It's a great opportunity for us to further advance our understanding of sustainable agriculture and food technologies! We will also be participating in the "Sustainable Food System Engineering" webinar scheduled for March 4th.
Our Agricultural Research Team visited the Mill Farm, with whom we collaborate. Here, we discussed our joint projects and gained insights into agricultural research and developments. Together with the Mill Farm, we are taking advanced steps in the agricultural sector.
