Ecominos is now in the VegMech catalogue

VegMech Technology Catalogue has published a detailed profile of Ecominos, bringing Orbiba Robotics' compact and modular agricultural robot into an international directory of mechanised and automated farming technologies.

The listing presents Ecominos as a self-propelled electric field robot that works in teleoperated, semi-autonomous or fully autonomous modes. It combines RTK-GNSS positioning, 360-degree LiDAR, depth cameras, RGB computer vision, an IMU, wheel encoders and onboard edge computing for navigation, crop monitoring and field work.

One platform for several field operations

The catalogue highlights the interchangeable tools at the centre of the Ecominos design. Depending on the configuration, the same platform can support mechanical weeding, precision hoeing, targeted spraying, field scouting, transport and other modular farming operations. This approach lets growers use one autonomous base for different jobs across the season.

Field validation with growers

The profile also covers the next development phase: the Beta Robot Farmer Program. Orbiba plans to place 60 Ecominos robots with early-adopter growers in Türkiye and Europe. Structured field collaboration, operating data and regular grower feedback will help validate performance across crops and conditions while improving autonomy, AI models and interchangeable modules.
