Orbiba Robotics has introduced its 2026 Beta Robot Farmer Programme to advance Ecominos with evidence from working farms. According to the announcement published by GıdaTarım, the field-validation initiative has 30 places for farmers across Türkiye, with priority given to organic, in-conversion and regenerative operations.

Founded on 19 April 2022, Orbiba Robotics develops AI-enabled autonomous agricultural robots and field analytics; Ecominos is its modular platform for bringing multiple field operations onto one machine.

A nine-month co-development model

The announcement states that selected farmers purchase Ecominos at full price and provide structured feedback over nine months. Orbiba plans a service payment at the end of the programme in return for documented development input. In practical terms, the farmer is treated not merely as an end user but as a measurable contributor to product validation.

  • Priority applicants: family farms of 1–50 hectares, cooperatives, and organic or regenerative growers
  • Season outputs: reports focused on crop health, soil condition and carbon retention
  • Digital access: field reporting and AI-assisted recommendations through the Orbiba App
  • Duration: nine months spanning real production conditions

Why diverse field data matters

Autonomous equipment must cope with dust, gradients, variable row spacing, crop growth and changing light—conditions that a controlled test site cannot fully reproduce. Feedback from different regions and crops can therefore improve perception, route planning and the behaviour of individual task modules while creating a more representative agricultural robotics dataset.

The programme's guiding idea is a field assistant that works with the farmer rather than a machine framed as the farmer's replacement. Applicants should confirm current eligibility, dates and commercial terms through Orbiba Robotics' official channels before making a decision.
